5 Paris Favorites
Juveniles Wine Bar - for the food, the atmosphere, the lovely owners, and the wine!
Pictured is the duck breast with roasted Brussels sprouts and carrot purée that I had the last time I was there, in March.
La Promenade Plantée, also know as la Coulée Verte - for a lofty escape from the chaos of the city.
Fromagerie Laurent Dubois - for your cheese fix. This place will definitely take care of it!
Musée de l'Orangerie - for your soul. This is one of the most relaxing museums in Paris.
Popelini - for your sweet tooth. The flavors of these satisfying little cream puffs change with the seasons. If you prefer more tangy notes, go for the passion fruit or lemon.

My Café in Paris
It didn't take me long to find "my" café during the week I spent in Paris last December.
My hours at the fromagerie meant that I was up and out the door before most of the city's inhabitants had even gotten out of bed. That first freezing cold morning I simply made a beeline for the only open café in the neighborhood.
I knew I would need a serious caffeine jolt and some filling, buttery pastry before jumping on the Métro and heading to work.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

Where to Buy Cheese in Paris
I'm really not trying to show favoritism, but after spending a week at the award winning Fromagerie Laurent Dubois in Paris in December, getting to know the owners, staff and incredible array of mouth-watering cheeses while working both in the front of house and down in the caves d'affinage, I feel like I should have an opinion about the place.
And I can tell you in all honesty that Monsieur and Madame Dubois and the staff at both of their shops are incredibly passionate and quite happy to share their knowledge with you, whether it be helping you to select a small wedge of perfectly aged Comté to enjoy on your own, or by putting together an entire cheese board for you to share with your guests.

A Hopeful Week in Paris - Part 2
Have you ever had what seems like a golden opportunity literally fall into your lap?
Then in the end, for one reason or another, you have to say 'no thanks' and walk away from that opportunity?
Well, if you haven't, I can tell you that it kind of sucks.
