Honfleur is one of Normandy's best known, picturesque port towns. Yes it is touristy, yes parking is a pain and yes the restaurants and cafés are (not surprisingly) overpriced.
But just ignore all that and go anyway.

Honfleur is charming and colorful and well worth a visit. Even for an afternoon.

The Office of Tourism's website is offered in a whopping nine languages!

Wow - nine languages! I'm constantly amazed at how few tourist sites in France are translated into English, let alone another seven!

Yes indeed touristy but I love Honfleur. Been there a few times and always enjoy a bowl of moules-frites by the bassin. It's nice to stay the night also. Love your photos! They always brighten my day.

Oh thanks for the views of the harbor, I needed some water pictures today. Happy Bastille Day.

So beautiful it doesn't look real. More like something one would dream about.

Bon Jour Jen, Enjoyed the photos of this lovely town by the sea from my little slice of heaven in coastal Maine. Your advice has been most helpful to the extended family, and I'm sure we will all see a lot more of Bayeux and environs in the coming months. Looking forward to more cider and cheese. I know! Crazy, huh?

Thank you, we did! It was a nice, lazy day with good food and good wine.

I would love to spend the night and have more time to savor Honfleur. But we live so close that the idea of that seems far too decadent. :)

Emm
You're very welcome. Happy to hear that you enjoyed them!

How wonderful to hear from you! I very much look forward to seeing you again and am happy that I was able to help Caroline and André. I'll have to share some of my favorite butter with you the next time you're here. :)

Very charming- at first I would have thought it was a part of Amsterdam.
