Glad you are settled and the internet is on its way. When I first moved here just for summers, I had a dial up connection for the first 3 years. It was very easy to go insane!! Diane
I just love your new home! I am so envious! Happy to hear you're getting settled in. We just bought a wonderful cabin "off the grid" in Montana. We'll be spending six months out of the year there (very civilized - we have a flush toilet - lol!) and six months in Port Townsend, except for those times when we'll be going "home" to France. Looks like we'll be renting in France instead of buying... that will allow us to see every corner of my favorite place! Maybe one day we'll sell our main residence and do six months in France - six in Montana! Love watching you explore your new territory and share with all of us! Happy trails from Washington State!
Been away from your life for a while (new job, no time) but a quick peek does not disappoint.
So the south was too remote, too quiet? More action up north? You might be interested: You are much closer to some of my ancestral grounds, northwest of Paris, two families who intermarried. I have cousins still in France as far as I know.
Love the empty chairs. They tell a more universal story.
Diane After several headaches, we're finally connected! Yahoo!
Nathalie He's loving running around the new place and is still scared to venture outside. Though he does enjoy watching all the birds through the window.
Lauren Montana, Port Townsend and France - that sounds like a perfect balance! Can't wait to hear more!
Bradford The south wasn't too quiet, it was blissfully tranquil. And beautiful. However my work opportunities were definitely too quiet, so we decided to try a new place and couldn't be happier.
It would be interesting for you to come to France and meet your cousins, non?
Katie Thanks! We've had amazing weather so far. Only a couple of days of serious rain, but mostly sunny or just cloudy.

Domino looks quite interested by the outside. Is he taking well to the move?
Lovely picture - as always.
More doors and windows! I think I only come to this blog for the doors and windows...

I can never resist a window with a kitty in it. Lovely shot. Hope the move isn't too stressful. =)

Merci. :)

Not a bad reason to visit, if you ask me! :)
Lindsey
Thanks! Hope you'll be able to come and see it for yourself one day.

Thanks for the speedy Internet wishes. They were much appreciated!

We think he's quite handsome. :)
French Twist
Thanks! I love the way the photo came out. And Domino had a good time posing for the camera as well.
Emm
I think so too! They are quite unusual here, where many shutters are white or pale blue.
Maureen
Thank you!
Half Baked
He's very happy and spends a good part of the day (when not sleeping, of course) in the windows.
Sandy
It is going really well, thanks...only a couple of hiccups so far.

Starting to wonder if customer service is better in general in Normandy. So far it's been smooth sailing. (hope I haven't spoken too soon!)

We're finding that, in general, it is. And we're loving it!
