Things Making Me Smile This Week
The window of la Boucherie in Olonzac
The discovery of a cheese-themed restaurant in Tours. L'Affiné is most definitely on the top of my list for our trip to the Loire Valley in October.
Fig Walnut Pesto with Honey. Yes, please!
Two old friends and their family have embarked on a new adventure and their rental home comes complete with a pink kitchen and a pink oven! Pass the pearls, a frilly apron and a pair of high heels!
Camille vs. the bees.

When you hit the Loire do seek out Olivet Cendré (cows milk from Olivet near Orléans). Had some in an Orléans restaurant - bit like St Nectaire meets Camembert with some ash.
I'm hoping to find some old skool tv dinners to cook in that oven, too.
I just love that first picture, it was beyond a smile I LOL. Diane
They make me smile too!! Great post. The pesto sound tasty, you must let us know if you try it!
Love that little piggy - delicious from head to tail! :) Thanks for the shout-out, too.
That's a gorgeous photos of vineyards. Makes me miss being in the country! I have to see Camille vs the bees had me laughing out loud as well!

Swanson's was always my favorite.

Isn't that a great image? I laugh every time I look at it! Glad you enjoyed it too.

I plan on trying the pesto, hopefully this weekend. There are still some figs on the trees in the village. I'll let you know!

I absolutely cracked up when I saw that photo of you all wrapped up to conquer (and avoid) the bees. Hilarious! Thanks for making me laugh.

Wasn't Camille's post wonderful? I loved it!
I plan on trying your Roquefort stuffed chicken breasts soon. That sounds divine!
Just came back from our holiday in Vaucluse (went there 5 years ago the first time and since then we became regulars).
In Vaison la Romain I bought a perfect goat cheese I've never had before - made a yahoo search and your blog came up (there was a comment about it back in 2008). Now looks like I'll become a regular for the blog as well...
BTW, the cheese is called "Le Roves des Garrigues".
