1) When you have a stressful afternoon at the doctor’s office and walk outside, turn the corner and see this. And you can't help but smile.
2) Paris offers endless opportunity to sit down, slow down, and watch the world go by
3) Beautiful, aged mimolette
4) Yes, it smelled incredible
5) Chocolate, as far as the eye can see

Oh yes, that view would make me smile all right, perhaps break out into laughter! I live in Provence and would have trouble with the Paris weather, but love to visit there and have spent months enjoying its many benefits. Were I to win the Loto, I would have an apartment there as well. And Noel is coming, with all its treats. I love the Bastille market at that time of year, so many kinds of oysters .....

That looks delicious. I was in Paris 28 years ago. Your beautiful photos bring back memories.
I bet the chocolate smelled incredible, too.
I'm the same! Whenever I catch a surprise glimpse of the Eiffel Tower or the Sacré Coeur, my heart skips a beat. :)
I hope the Dr. stress was not too serious!
These photos took my breath away. How amazing that photos can evoke sense memory with such immediacy. Thank you!

Paris is so beautiful and festive during the holidays, despite the grey and rain. Hope you're enjoying the season!
