Toto, I've A Feeling We're Not In Normandy Anymore...
Boxes are unpacked and everything (for the most part) is finally arranged and in its place.
Even though we don't have a lot of stuff, finding the space for it all after moving from a small, 3 bedroom cottage to a half-its-size, 1 bedroom apartment is kind of like playing a giant, 3-D game of Tetris. It's been interesting, to say the least.
But we're finally here! In Paris!
We rented this apartment with a huge balcony where we can watch the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We're getting to know the neighborhood, and for the moment, it kind of feels like we're on vacation. I definitely can't complain.

Loulou, you did it!! I wish you much fun in Paris and may all good things be yours in the years ahead!
I know the feeling: -)
Yeah.. it feels like being on vacation: -)
Looks very nice, your new neighborhood
Finally! Paris! A balcony with a view is priceless there. I'm in the Languedoc, but moving to Provence shortly. If I could have two "homes", one would be in Paris and the other in Provence. I'm half there .....

Congratulations! It must feel wonderful to finally be settled where you really want to be. I love that feeling of getting to know a new place, and I must say I miss it after almost twenty years back here. Enjoy every minute!
Welcome Home!
Congratulations on your new home; looking forward to sharing your Paris adventures!
I'm thrilled for you. I look forward to seeing more of your new life in this amazing city. How exciting!
Are you guys OK, Jennifer?
We hope you are home and safe today, take care, light and goodness will prevail in the City of Light.
Bonjour Loulou
Hope you are safe and sound.
Loulou, hope you and your family are safe?
Thinking of you.
Thank you all for your messages. We are fine and currently in the Languedoc, so we actually weren't in Paris on Friday. We are very sad and heartbroken by the recent events and are still in shock.
Jennifer, how nice to hear from you...
I'm still in shock too; can not concentrate on anything else... and find it hard to explain it all to our little son.
It's hard to imagine Christmas and St Silvestre in Cannes as we remember it from the past. And it feels awkward to plan a vacation in a state of emergency, but we will not change our plans and will be going there.
Wishing you all the best!
The new neighbor looks fantastic: with your (was that magnolia or Ballard cottage experience) I am sure the new Paris apartment will feel spacious
La Torontoise
You will have a wonderful time in Cannes. Things are slightly subdued, but people are out in cafés, shopping, celebrating the season. Happy holidays to you and your family!

Nice to hear from you! :)
That was a small cottage - it was in Magnolia.
We have so many windows and a big terrace, so that helps ease the small space feeling. Take care!
