Boxes are unpacked and everything (for the most part) is finally arranged and in its place.
Even though we don't have a lot of stuff, finding the space for it all after moving from a small, 3 bedroom cottage to a half-its-size, 1 bedroom apartment is kind of like playing a giant, 3-D game of Tetris. It's been interesting, to say the least.
But we're finally here! In Paris!
We rented this apartment with a huge balcony where we can watch the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We're getting to know the neighborhood, and for the moment, it kind of feels like we're on vacation. I definitely can't complain.

Finally! Paris! A balcony with a view is priceless there. I'm in the Languedoc, but moving to Provence shortly. If I could have two "homes", one would be in Paris and the other in Provence. I'm half there .....

Thank you all for your messages. We are fine and currently in the Languedoc, so we actually weren't in Paris on Friday. We are very sad and heartbroken by the recent events and are still in shock.

I'm still in shock too; can not concentrate on anything else... and find it hard to explain it all to our little son.
It's hard to imagine Christmas and St Silvestre in Cannes as we remember it from the past. And it feels awkward to plan a vacation in a state of emergency, but we will not change our plans and will be going there.

That was a small cottage - it was in Magnolia.
We have so many windows and a big terrace, so that helps ease the small space feeling. Take care!
