That's hysterical! I am also having fun looking at some of the English translations here in France...One of my fav's is Marie Antoinette was translated in English as Mary of Tudor....

I tried to understand why that translation and think I figured it out: "con" is an insult in French, as you know. In fact, that chili con carne is lucky the "translator" only called it "stupid." Had the translation been more literal, the photo might have been censored :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

I can't believe that actually got by! I mean, "stupid" is pretty much the same word in French...

Hilarious!! You'd have to be wrong on your translation from Spanish to French, and then wrong again from French to English. Brilliant!
