Great collection of old doors. They are all different, and all interesting in their own way. Hope life is going smoothly for you in Normandy... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
The second-from-last, there's a hint of light and perhaps sky behind -- so mysterious, what's there? And the second one makes me think of a Chinese temple wall. Such nice pix, thanks.

It's funny how something as simple as a door is so different from one region of France to another.

What is it about doors in France that are so intriguing? I think that doorways so beautiful must have amazing stories to tell.

I couldn't agree more. The doors here remind me of the doors in Paris.

Me too! You don't see many red doors in this part of Normandy. I like how they stand out.

I noticed several more today when I was on my way to the market. Must go for another walk with my camera!

I think that one opens up into a courtyard.
Glad you enjoyed them!

I have many, many photos of Paris doors. As I said, I'm obsessed. :)
It's a good obsession to have.
I love your collection of door pictures. I am always drawn to doors and windows with shutters as we wander around villages in the South of France.
Notre Vie
And an easy one to have if you live in France! :)

As Meredith noted, they are so different here in Normandy than they are in the villages of the Languedoc.
