I stood under a Bourbon Street sign drinking a giant Hurricane one New Year's Eve long long ago. What I wouldn't give to go back one of these days for a visit. Hope you are having a a great visit.
Ah, I'm just back from a week there--we arrived in time for their dizzying win over the Vikings. I'd go back in a flash for another Ramos Gin Fizz at the Roosevelt, or anything from Cochon! Looking forward to some vicarious thrills through your blog...
It was wonderful to meet you and your friend, Ron, in New Orleans. The pictures you have up of the city are great. Please tell Ron Jake and I said hello as we have no way to contact him and we would love for the both of you to stay in touch. Jake says hello to his fellow food snob. We are having hamburger helper for dinner. I'm sure he's thrilled. :)
meredith It is a very special city! I'm fortunate to have so many great friends here...gives me a reason to visit often.
la fille It was the best weekend! Still buzzing from the Saints win and am going to watch their parade this afternoon.
STK Had some chicory coffee yesterday, no beignets yet but I have plenty of time to get down there. My friend Mary sent us a huge package of her fabulous homemade pralines for Christmas so I've been enjoying them for months.
spacedlaw Merci! I have been so far and it will continue. :)
Giovanna Thanks for commenting. Sounds like you had a great visit to New Orleans. I'm anxious to go check out the Roosevelt and can't wait to get back to Cochon!
tara So happy you commented so we wouldn't lose track of you! It was great to meet you as well. Please send me an email so I can pass Ron's email on to you. louloufrance@gmail.com
