Village Blues

The powder blue over dark purple grapes. The startling, vibrant sky that can range from steel to cobalt to azure. The shutters painted everything from fresh cornflower to faded sapphire to pale periwinkle.

Camille of Croque-Camille tagged me a few weeks ago and invited me to participate in this game: find seven blue objects in your house and do a little show and tell.
Lucky for me, Camille opened up the game to creative interpretation, so I took it outside.

Here are my Village Blues.

The seven others I would like to tag are: Pumpkin, Veronica, Anne, Caron, Half Baked, Walt and Ken. The seven blue items can be from your house, your kitchen, your town, your pantry, your shoe closet, whatever. Have fun with it! Pin It

I love these pics, they really give me a feel for what life is like in such an amazing country. Such vibrant colors and old world charm.

Great photos! Love the creative interpretation - especially the grapes. They really are blue, aren't they? And those shutters with the big round tower behind them... awesome!

I love, love, love the first photo! Any chance you could email me the original size? It would make a lovely background on my computer. :)

Thanks for commenting! There are so many great photo opportunities in our village.

Merci!!!!

I enjoyed doing this and hope the others that I've tagged will too. Thank heavens the items didn't have to come from our home because I have more shades of green and red inside.
Yes, the grapes are truly blue!
The tower is the le Château de Cesseras, which is broken up into private apartments and low income housing. The views over the countryside from up there are incredible!

Sandy
Glad you like them. Thanks!

Sure. That is our friend's house. Isn't it beautiful?

It would be a real shame if you did not have a resident artist to paint these images! I'm about nreadt to shuck it all here just to go and capture on canvas what you just showed. Thank you, thank you.

Hi Loulou...Your photos are brilliant. I will give it a go!! You have sooo much blue around you, it is difficult here ..I will try my hardest, :-)

That is a cool tag, and I love all the blue around your area anyway. Maybe I'll tag myself for this one (I suppose you'd let me play...)and try to get some photography inspiration going. Blue is my favorite color!

These are beautiful pictures. It highlights not only blue but the changing of Fall. Glorious!

oh blimey. A lot of my blue things could be the same as yours (shutters, sky, grapes, machines à vendanger ...) but the photos will be less good :) I'll try to come up with something different, but it may take a while! Great idea for a tag though.

How beautiful! gosh the colours are vibrant, some great shots! I'm living up in the north... there's a different kind of beauty here I suppose, not as beautiful as where u are!

Po Boy
You're welcome! You're welcome!
Glad the images have inspired you.

Anne
I discovered that I have very little blue inside our house, so it was better to find the blues outside.

Betty
I was so going to tag you for this but you sounded so stressed about the whole blogging thing that I didn't want to add to it! Please join in! Honorary tag, my friend!

marta
The blue skies in the autumn are very vivid here. I love the contrast of the the reds and golds of the leaves against the bright blue.

Veronica
No worries! These things aren't meant to be stressful! :)

ACSG
I'm sure you have plenty of natural beauty where you are that rivals this area. :)

spacedlaw
Merci! It is such a gorgeous color.

vicki
Thanks!
