The Joy Of Being Une Flâneuse
Last Friday, after a three hour lunch with three very inspiring and intelligent women, I started walking. I walked and walked. And WALKED.
From the Galerie Vivienne through the gardens at le Palais Royal, crossing into the Cour Napoléon and past the Pyramide du Louvre, then across the Pont du Carrousel and past les bouquinistes on the Quai Voltaire before turning down the rue du Bac and into the 7ème arrondissement, taking time to do some people watching and to swoon over the gorgeous pastries at La Pâtisserie des Rêves and les bûches de Noël at Des Gâteaux et du Pain.
Just as the holiday lights were coming on and the Eiffel Tower started to sparkle, I jumped on the métro and headed home.
It was a very good day.

Beautiful pictures! I miss Paris...
Thanks for taking us all on that afternoon stroll with you Jennifer. We (husband and I) were there for the 4th time in July (we both fell in love with it on our first trip)Never tire of seeing photos of our beautiful Paris (our 2nd home)
I 'flaneussed' for 10 weeks last Spring, 6 the Spring before and will do it again next Spring. It is joyful...it's a surprise around every corner...it's getting beautifully lost and figuring it all out.. and then getting lost again. it's the best way to see Paris....

I fell in love with Paris the first time I came here, too. Hope you're able to come back soon!

Getting lost and wandering is one of my favorite things to do here. Besides eating, of course. :)
