"Peanuts Butter" ice cream from Picard.
Despite the fact that they didn't do their English language homework before printing the packaging, if it's as good as it sounds, this will definitely satisfy one of my cravings!
Well, in French it's beurre de cacahuèteS, duh! ;-)
I can't believe no one at Picard speaks English well enough to catch that mistake, though. Hope the ice cream is delish! And dude, I'll send you peanuts butter if you need some. I live a mile from a JIF factory (but could send you most any brand you wanted).
I used to eat beurre d'arachide when I was a little girl. We didn't call it beurre de cacahouetes then nor peanut butter but it has been around for a long time, in the specialty section. I am glad you can satisfy your sweet tooth with this ice cream. The next time I am in France, I'll will have to check out Picard. I have noticed that Americans are trying to eat more vegetables and fruits but french people are going the American way : burgers, tacos, McDo, frozen meals... they are also looking more and more like Americans. Most of the photos I see are full of overweight folks.
Diane I think it is one of those things that one has to grow up with. I have many French friends who think it is disgusting! I tell them that they don't know what they're missing. :)
Alison lol I can't believe it either. We bought some the other day and it's good, but not peanut buttery enough! Thank you for the kind offer...I just might take you up on that.
Nadege It's true about the French. There seems to be more processed food here than there was even 10 years ago. It isn't helping the nation's waistline!
