Les Fromages de Normandie

Camembert de Normadie

What's the first thing you think of when you think of Normandy?

Is it the apples? Mont Saint Michel? The D-Day beaches? The Calvados? The cream? Honfleur? The charming half timbered houses? The seafood? The gardens of Giverny?

I think of cheese.

The Brillat Savarin, the Crémeux du Mont-St-Michel, the Neufchâtel, the Livarot, the Pônt l'Evêque, the Camembert!

We're up heading to Normandy next week for a little vacation. It's going to be a delicious trip.

I think of butter and cream, Pont L'eveque, and Calvados! Hopefully on the next trip we will visit Normandy again. Have a wonderful time!

Like you, I think of cheese! Livarot, Neufchatel, Pont l'Eveque, Camembert... and of course a little calva or cider to wash it down! :)

This is definitely our favorite part of Normandy!

All three of which we've been enjoying. (though not the Calvados so much for me - I find it too harsh)

We haven't had a bad meal yet. And it is scallop season! I'm in heaven.

Yes and yes. So different from the south!

The cider is wonderful! Unfortunately I'm not a huge Calvados fan. I tried it again today when we drove around to do some tasting, but it just didn't do it for me. Pommeau is amazing though!
