Virginia I think you're right! I didn't know about the café in Birmingham, so you aren't repeating yourself. :) Is it a good place?
Sam Thank you! That is very nice to hear.
Murissa It's interesting, because that wood is actually dark brown, but the evening light must have added an extra layer of color. It really does look deep blue.
Sarah Thank you and thanks for stopping by to comment!
Emm Merci! The header photo is one of my favorite houses in the area. I love that shade of periwinkle blue.
Genie I would love to see the photo of Chez Loulou in Birmingham, so please let me know if you find it. Glad you're enjoying my blue as much as I enjoyed yours. :)
JBar I saw that orange stone against the wood on one of the village houses while we were having drinks in our friend's garden the other night and immediately grabbed my camera. One of the friends asked what I was doing and when I told him that I loved the color and texture contrast he looked at me like I was very strange. lol

Love this photo. Diane
Merci Diane!
I think the south of France must have cornered the market on rustic wood and stone. Gorgeous shot.
I hope I am not repeating myself but we have a cute little "Frenchie" cafe here in Birmingham called Chez Lulu! :)

Beautiful image. Colour and texture combine perfectly. I love oyur photography.
Blue and orange - perfect pair on the colour wheel. Great image!
Ahh! So good!
Beautiful texture picture, and new header photo too.
The texture is divine as is that rich deep blue! Your banner is exquisite. This must be "blue week"... bon weekend!
I went to Chez Loulou in Birmingham with Virginia last summer and we even mentioned you... I'll find a photo that I snapped!
Bises,
Genie
Interesting texture post.

That is a gorgeous photo!
Loulou, That periwinkle is almost exactly the shade of a pair of long-departed :sigh: Ferragamos. :-)
Andi
Thank you! I love it too. :)

Oh...those must have been beautiful shoes...maybe you'll find another pair one day to replace them.
