Not quite here yet! There is a very chilly wind -- that's the difference between the "real" South and "Midi moins le quart!"

betty
I'm surprised by how warm it is here for February. It is usually much colder! I hope it lasts.

Midi moins le quart. I love that!

Primroses and pansies are so cute.
To my mind, they are the perkiest of flowers and would be the most likely to be cheerleaders in the flower world. "S-P-R-I-N-G, Go, Spring!"

poppy fields,
I've got the urge too! I want to get all of our windowboxes going, but it seems too early.

la belette rouge,
they do scream spring, don't they?!

function of time,
I hope the weather holds for you!
Where are you staying in the area? I know of several B & B's if you need any suggestions.

Hi loulou,
I have a place already booked in Pezenas. All I have to say is this, "love the TGV". Direct to Agde from Paris...awesome

I have been noticing this lately as I see people's bulbs blooming- crocuses (sp), hyacinth, irises, narcisses.. So strange to see spring come early this year.. as last spring was my first ever in a country with 4 seasons!!! It's nice though... but I hope the flowers will last through the real spring!!!

islandgirl,
There will be plenty of flowers, all spring long. Early spring bulbs such as tulips are my absolute favorite!

NOOO!!! How can you tease us all so cruelly! We're still smack bang in the middle of a minus 12 degree freezer over here. It might pretty on the eyes out there, but it's pretty cold on the rest of the body, and while I'm loving the skiing and skating and hot chocolate, I wouldn't mind being in the middle of a flower filled park sipping lemon aid.

robyn,
I've seen that it has been a long winter there! Spring will arrive soon, in the meantime, enjoy the hot chocolate!
