...with a baster whose suction mechanism isn't functioning, thereby allowing the scalding hot fat that you're saving to sauté potatoes in later, to erupt like molten lava all over the back of your hand.
Causing severe redness and burning.
But those potatoes will be worth it, I'm sure.

Don't you just hate it when you do that?
I hope you had ice handy...
Any word on the Titre de Sejour?
We have waited 6 weeks just to get the forms for the renewal....and still counting....
I had lots of cold water and ice on hand. It still hurt today, though.
Yes, I got a temporary Carte de Séjour last Friday because I demanded something official for when I leave for the States on next Friday.
The I looked at it more closely, and lo and behold, it is my regular Carte de Séjour! I was going to write a post about it today. We're still having problems with my husband's however.
Good luck with yours....I feel for you!
That sucks. I burned my hand on boiling polenta. Not fun.
colleen,
You should see the back of my hand now. I have a big red spot and you can actually see the marks where the hot fat dripped down the back of my hand.
Polenta burns. Ouch!!! I can sympathize.
