I've always said that autumn is my favorite time of year, for many reasons.
These gorgeous October colors in the Jardin de Luxembourg just add to the autumn love.
This picture is wonderful! What I really like is the apparent elevation from where you took the picture. It looks like you sat down on the ground and leaned forward. The effect is the ground looks very close, and this recalls for me early memories of what it was like to be very small. When very tall things like trees towered overhead, being so close to the ground made the whole experience magical. And with the soft tones of autumn, the result is exquisite.
Thanks Bradford. I was crouched down on the ground when I took this. I loved the leaves that had already fallen and wanted to get as much of those into the shot, as well as the height and color of the trees. It made an interesting perspective! Glad you noticed. :)
