Saying Goodbye

Speck

Speck may have been un petit chien, but he had a big heart and a huge personality. He was a bundle of unconditional love who was always by my side.
Having to say goodbye to such a cherished little companion was heartbreaking.

I know the ache will slowly dissipate, but for the moment it is excruciating.

Thanks to everyone who has called, sent emails or left messages for us. Your kindness is very much appreciated.

Saying goodbye to a pet is like saying goodbye to a member of the family. You just have to remember all the good times that you had together. Thinking of you Diane

I am so sorry for your loss, it is heart breaking to say good bye. My thoughts are with you both (and the other other animals).
Rest in peace little man...

The photos brought tears to my eyes. I have two chihuahuas and I know how big their hearts are and what wonderful companions they are. One of mine is somewhere between 13 and 18, and he is frail, so it hits very close to home. They are such brave little men.

I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. But I'll bet he had a very happy life with you and knew he was loved. That's the best we can do.

Oh my gosh. I know how hard it is. I lost my 19 year old cat last month. I still don't feel normal, but I do feel better. I'm so sorry. Hang in there.

Pet owners know how you are suffering. My sweet Abbie is 14 and while in OK health I know it's the time to treasure every single day because her time is short I'm sure.

Take care...the pain will start to dissipate one day and you will then be left with only wonderful memories...what a sweet looking little dog.

(((((((HUGS))))))) I know all too well of the loss of a fur baby. I can tell he was blessed to have you.

I think the pets of expats take on an additional role. My cat has never asked me how "fluent" I am. She doesn't care if there is tuna or thon in her bowl.

There are no words to comfort the empty space left behind.

Your pet was lucky and loved.

My two dogs got sick and passed away within two months of one another last summer. It has been very hard to deal with. The heartache at first seems unbearable and there will be times where tears flow without warning. But later for some reason you will remember your buddy and instead of tears, a smile will come. My sympathies.

Oh, so very sorry. Sending sympathy. I lost my 12-1/2 year-old Cavalier this fall. If all pets truly do go over the Rainbow Bridge and play together, she will have been on Speck's welcoming committee.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is losing a member of the family and it takes time to heal. Thinking of you during this sad time. Hugs from Cali.

I am so sorry for your loss. Doggies are more than pets, they are family. The photos of your little fellow are so sweet. Take care and I hope your memories comfort you.

I agree with the comment above; for expats our pets become even more important and treasured.

God bless --

Oh, Loulou, thinking of you and my heart is very heavy. He was a sweet little Speck of a dog. Somewhere out there, he's a puppy again.

Oh, I am so, so sorry for your loss. One of my Maine Coon cats took catastrophically ill on Christmas Eve morning and was gone by early evening. Heartbreaking, and still very fresh. I understand what you're going through because I'm right there with you. Take care of yourself.

Amities,
Marsi

Petit chien, you brought warmth and comfort with you, sharing it abundantly. You built a dance hall with your four paws, and you danced freely and joyfully with Loulou. You have trotted off the dance floor and all is quiet now. But you live on in the hearts of those who loved you and you loved in return.
