On Tuesday we had the massive sirocco that dropped sand from the Sahara desert all over the place. Then on Wednesday I went to Béziers and there were a dozen camels in one of the squares. Did the storm drop them too?
Hello Lou Lou - I just wanted to say hi, and that I'm enjoying your blog which I discovered on tastespotting.com. I live in Carcassonne and love life in this beautiful corner of France. I see you have a chihuahua - I have three, and they are all the loves of my life
jane Three chihuahuas! We have two and they are a handful, I can't imagine having three. We love this little corner of France too. Glad you stopped by. Keep in touch!
Colleen The did a series of fish in New Orleans about 7 years ago. My friend painted one of them then they were all auctioned off to private collectors and galleries. I'm not sure what Béziers will do with the camels.
Betty Maybe they're always on exhibit? Aren't there cows in Chicago too?

Cute! These remind me of the decorated "pigs" in Seattle around the Holidays.
I was just going to mention the Seattle pigs. I didn't know they were a holiday thing, though. I saw them during one summer quite few years ago.
