I love plum crumble and it's a great way of using them all up. We do have a Greengage tree and I have never really done much with them although they have gone into the odd chutney or two.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00497527514675744541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20775625.post-75177520645219701582010-08-11T08:38:19.378+02:002010-08-11T08:38:19.378+02:00Sounds fantastic, nothing like summer fruits; and ...Sounds fantastic, nothing like summer fruits; and they make all sorts of wonderful desserts. I mixed ricotta with lemon zest and honey and spread that on, then layered it with sliced plums tossed in a little sugar. I folded the crust up all around, brushed it with egg wash and sprinkled with sugar. Bake at 350 until done. I guess this is more galette than tart, but was still pretty tasty!Sharonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20775625.post-514130748187375362010-08-09T14:58:39.687+02:002010-08-09T14:58:39.687+02:00Diane

You're right about summer and simplicity - I bought a kilo of tomatoes and I just want to slice them and maybe drizzle a bit of olive oil on top...or make a BLT. :)Cowgirl Chefhttp://www.cowgirlchef.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20775625.post-26768998051427776912010-08-08T18:27:35.483+02:002010-08-08T18:27:35.483+02:00I have so many plums this looks good to me.
