Photo du Jour - Almost Frozen...

...but not.

The little stream near our house never did freeze over and it appears that the temperature should be warming up tomorrow.
Not that it hasn't been chilly!
The cold snap and dusting of snow kept us in all weekend. I did a lot of cleaning and organizing and cooking. When I ventured out to the market this morning the temperature was a numbing 0 degrees C (32 F). Too cold to linger over my purchases.
I did my shopping in a record 20 minutes and headed home to warm my toes.

This winter hasn't bothered me as much as the previous ones. The heat last summer was so unbearable that I've come to appreciate the other seasons much more. Pin It

0 degrees sounds warm to me, compared with what we had last week. It did warm up, but think the cold is coming back :-(

You say in your profile that your blog is - a place to write about my passion for cooking, wine, cheese and food - which of course you do. But for me your blog is you taking a moment to share with the World(or the nine people who read this!) something simple and beautiful. Thank you.

0 degrees is cold? Humph we call that a warm day! ohhh I get it this is were you talk about whine!

Stay in and stay warm! Fingers crossed this won't last much longer.

I'm glad you like reading about the moments. Hopefully there are more than only 9 people reading as well...
0 degrees is cold in a stone house with tile floors and no central heating, I tell you! :)

WOW! Beautiful photo... It makes me think of fall, rather than winter! I was checking out trees yesterday and noticed that a lot have their leave buds all ready-- red and some fig trees were green... I hope we have an EARLY spring this year!!!!

It is a very autumn like photo, but there are still a lot of leaves on the ground down here.
Buds on the trees already? An early spring would be wonderful! :)
