Photo du Jour - le 1er août

The buzzing of the cigales is slowly quieting. The heat off the streets is shimmering. Hordes of Dutch, British and Belgian cars slowly drive around, looking lost. Young women walk around the village wearing teeny bikini tops and a sarongs, thinking there's a beach nearby, perhaps? People at the restaurant audaciously try to order 1 child's menu to share between their 3 pre-teens.

August is here.
Thankfully there are plenty of tranquil, out of the way places like this one to escape to. Pin It

While I would certainly not be one of those lovelies in their bikini tops, I would definitely add to the wandering foreigners - an american one at that, soaking up the wonderfulness that is France!
Bon weekend,
xo

Can you believe it's August already? I've been in the USA for 4 weeks and don't know where the time has gone.

Re: one of your other posts -- I'm getting regularly admonished by people here for never going to Italy. I've got to put that on my to-do list!

Getting lost is inevitable around here! But there is always something wonderful to discover when you do.
:)

No I can't! When do you come back?
Guess you better start planning a trip to Italy soon...

Funny... Paris (at least the residential parts) is the exact opposite! So much more personal space on the sidewalks, although a lot of shops are shuttered.
