Photo du Jour - So Cheesy!

Some clever cheese maker has started producing goat's cheese in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.

Who said that the French weren't entrepreneurial?

I know! Crazy, isn't it!

It seems weird to mold cheese into shapes like the Eiffel Tower, in my opinion.
I'm working on the story of the trip. It will show up this week!

I think it's kind of cute, actually. Not too tacky.

I do hope Walt (wcs) sees this post!

I can remember the smell of that shop, how wonderful to smell real food.

They would make a great gift for a cheese/Paris lover!

The shop was definitely smelly. But in a wonderful way.

Yes, I think the tourists must love these!

Oh, yes, I'd buy that. But I'm tacky that way.

And, GWB was once credited with telling Tony Blair that the French don't even have a word for "entrepreneur." That may just be urban legend, but it's in character.

Good to know you're "tacky that way." When I finally get up to the Loire to make some Jambalaya for you two I'll have to bring you the tackiest thing from the Languedoc that I can! :)
Apparently the GWB comment was an urban legend. But it wouldn't have surprised me.
