Photo du Jour - Artichokes


Artichokes are in season and they're everywhere!

They're available in a variety of shapes and sizes - little artichauts violets, big round globe artichokes and a medium sized variety that we have growing in the garden. Pin It

Luolou: How do you cook and serve them? And, at Chez Loulou what do you serve the artichokes with?
Fresh artichoke hearts, ne canned pas, are on list of top 50 fifty foods. Yummy!

I usually steam them until the hearts are soft and serve them, just like Colleen says below, with aioli! Or you could serve them with plain mayo.

you must! My husband doesn't really like them so I get them all for myself. :)

we have been eating so many a day too! they are so lovely. i might even can some for when artichokes are out of favor. Our plant is bigger than me!

I didn't even do anything to help the plants in the garden survive the winter and they're producing like crazy!
