Photo du Jour

I've walked by this at least two dozen times and I never really noticed it before yesterday. It is just around the corner from les Halles in Béziers, on a little side street that winds its way toward the Cathedral.

La Beurrerie Moderne - Is that like une Laiterie or une Fromagerie? Is this where someone used to make and sell butter? Pin It

The different shaped doors and windows takes me on a little journey. Its funny to contemplate what could have been considered 'moderne'.

I absolutely love these old buildings with the fading painted on signs. We have a bunch of pictures that we took when we were in your neck of the woods 3 years ago. Beautiful.

I imagine it is -- once again, I'm wild for the sign. I wish I had more time to drive around the countryside and snap them here in Aveyron.

so true...I wonder what year the sign was painted

we are never full
I love them too and have started really looking out for them.
There is a very, very faded cobalt blue on a building here in the village, but i can only see spots of color and nothing else.

betty
maybe we'll see some good ones in Albi

I just sent you an email about Albi! I know some interesting old storefronts there...

Betty
I'll definitely be bringing my camera. Will you too?

Of course: I've already done some posts on Albi, though -- do a search for "Tarn" and "Albi" on my blog and you can see what I've already done. Thierry just bought a new camera (we have quite a few) so I may try that one out for this trip.
