Cheese Shops

I'm considering putting together a list of cheese shops in America, Canada, the U.K. France, Australia...really wherever!

So, I'm asking for your help. I've read about and know of a few, but know that there are so many out there that either don't have websites or aren't easily found when searching the Web.

Please help me acknowledge your local cheese shop (also cheese producer!) and give them the kudos they deserve. Pin It

In Rodez, I highly recommend Chez Marie, Place d'Estaing (right behind the cathedral.) They have a somewhat limited but extremely high quality selection and also serves cheese-based lunches, which are excellent and a great value.

I found this place when I couldn't find chopped or bulk prosciutto anywhere on the island and it's an absolute necessary ingredient in my red sauce (New Basics Bolognese sauce). Of course, they had the proscuitto, but OMG, the cheeses. And fabulous wine selection. You would love it. I think they cater to the wealthy weekenders and commuters rather than the locals.

kate,
Thanks! I'm slowly compiling a list. I've gotten a few emails from friends and family around the States offering their favorite cheese-y places.
Hope you're still enjoying life on the island. I love reading about it!

I like the Roscioli shop on Via dei Giubbonari, in Rome (that's near Campo dei Fiori).
They sell fine wines, cheeses and charcuterie from both Italy and France and you can even eat there.
They have an old bakery too, so the bread is also nice.
Their site. the list of cheese isn't working but I do expect it changes with seasons...
