Photo du Jour

I searched our French dictionary and online dictionaries for an hour this morning, hoping to find the meaning of this word. Maybe it's Occitan?

If anyone knows, could you please tell me? Pin It

I just googled it and a site came up saying that it was a word from "auvergnat" (which I would imagine is the regional language of Auvergne??), and that it meant 'grenadier'...

Grenadier is a pomegranate, sold locally as grenadier à fleurs for the ornamental form or grenadier à fruits for the best fruiting variety
